A KISS FOR YOUR THOUGHTS

It was nearing the end of the movie, when the superhero lead has to choose between his lady love and preserving his secret identity that Vic gazed deeply into Rina’s eyes, leaned in close and kissed her.

            It was their first kiss and it was as sweet as he thought it would be. He felt her mouth open against his and the kiss became deeper, more intimate.

            “Oh wow,” Vic thought. “So this is what kissing your dream girl feels like. It’s certainly better and more exciting than when I kissed Julia. But then again, Julia and I are just friends.”

            “He’s kissing me!” thought Rina. “Or am I kissing him? Wait. OMG. We’re kissing already but he hasn’t asked me to be his girlfriend yet! He’s going to think I’m easy!!!”

Vic felt Rina suddenly pull away slightly and then stop.

“Easy, Vic. Don’t scare her away” he thought. “Let her come to you. Remember what Hitch said, you come in 90, she comes in the last 10”.

“Oh Goooooood! I’m such a slut.” Rina thought. “Oh wait, are we still kissing? Our lips are touching but they’re not moving.” Rina leaned forward slightly and started making goldfish motions with her mouth.

“Aaaaand…we’re back in business” Vic thought. “This is just so awesome. I can’t wait to tell the guys. And they said it couldn’t be done, that only Casanova could get through the Ice Princess. Well, I guess my middle name just became Casanova”

“Am I doing this right?” Rina wondered. “Can he tell? Oh my Goooood, I’m a slut who’s not very good at being one! Okay, calm down Rina, just because he didn’t ask you to be his girlfriend before he kissed you doesn’t mean he thinks you’re easy. As long as he asks me after. In the meantime…”

“Hey, she’s really getting into this” Vic thought. “I wonder if she’s game to go to second base. Second base is with tongue right? Or was it boob action? Damn it, Hitch, why wasn’t this part in the movie?”

The house lights suddenly turned on and the opening credits started to roll. Vic and Rina jerked away from each other and looked around them. No one paid them any mind.

“I can’t wait to bring her home then talk to the guys” Vic thought.

“Surely, he’s going to ask me now to be his girlfriend” Rina thought.

They sat there, looking at one another.
